Another book that I could not put down. This was a great easy read. Not preachy at all about the way people should live. It's about learning to live off the land finding produce within a 100 mile radius of their home, it also provides stats and some interesting history and facts.
A few thing that would have made this book particularly useful is if they had listed local farmers/producers and added a few more recipes or maybe this is something they are working on and will publish another book. Even their website does not list these things.
What I thought was pointless in this book was Alisa talking about her relationship with J, there are passing comments of her getting 'itchy feet', it was not at all necessary and a bit of a strange thing to add to a book such as this. Having said that I highly recommend reading this book.
